About Mr. Keltner
I have been teaching at Wellsville since 2011. Before teaching at Wellsville, I spent three years at Wathena Middle School, and two years at Haviland High School. I hold undergraduate degrees in History and Secondary Education from Kansas State. I hold a graduate degree in Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum from Missouri. And I live in Lawrence, home of the University of Kansas. Understandably, when townies ask about my education, I keep it vague.
During my short career, I've come into contact with a multitude of fantastic teachers and coaches, who have helped me every way that they could. While my shortcomings are my own darn fault, my successes are due to their help. If you're a teacher or coach and need some help on anything, I'd love to try to pay it forward. While this site doesn't have any corporate sponsors, I've had plenty of help along the way. The National Center for History in the Schools out of UCLA, the Choices Program out of Brown University, and Interact Simulations have all been extremely helpful. Material from those services is posted with their permission. I also have to thank the staff at the National World War I Museum in Kansas City for their extraordinary amount of assistance in creating an exploratory class from scratch. |
